BACKGROUND

The School of Business and Management of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is considered one of the world’s leading business schools in Asia. Established in 1991 in Hong Kong, it offers undergraduate degrees, full-time MBA, EMBA in partnership with Kellogg School of Management, MSc, PhD, and Executive Education programs.

The Business School is well recognized for focusing on new technologies and its Full-time MBA Program has been ranked no.1 in Hong Kong by Financial Times during 2010-2019.

PROJECT
SUMMARY

Sunbeam (the 3D mascot) is the HKUST MBA ambassador guiding students and candidates through their MBA journeys. We have designed Sunbeam with several outfits, as he will be seen at different occasions in a series of 10 videos, and portrayed as the close companion to the audience at all times.

These animated videos have huge potential for engaging people in effective learning, onboarding and procedure familiarization. By shaping communications for our client, HKUST can incorporate their logo, colour palette, tone of voice and more into their branding assets, which can easily capture more attention from audience in their social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Youtube channel.

In a 3-minute video, a great mascot can narrate and be fully acted. It does a good job of visualizing what could potentially be a dry or complex topic. The full range of content is then trimmed into a nice training suite, with the use of fun, easy-to-understand and compelling animations or motion infographics, thus adding depth and light enjoyment to the messaging.
